Grandview Market Shutting Down
As I am on vacation, this will be a quick read but wanted to get something out there for you all ! I deeply appreciate everyone who takes the time to read these, and if you like it, please forward it to a friend you think might appreciate.
With that being said, let’s get into it.
Grandview Market Closing
Grandview Market in the Warehouse District of West Palm Beach is closing down at the end of the month -
For those unfamiliar, Grandview Market is a repurposed warehouse a few minutes from downtown WPB, featuring a variety of vendors including a bar, a ramen place, and a surf shop. There has been a steady rotation of other food options within the market as well.
They also have an outdoor patio which has been known to host trivia, live music and other public events.

Grandview Market
When I first moved to Florida, I lived in an apartment within walking distance - it was a great place to pop into for a bite to eat or maybe a coffee in the morning!
No reason has been given for the abrupt closure, but speculation is that it might be for financial reasons. Within the same complex, Steam Horse Brewery closed down about 6 months ago, and given Grandview shares the same potential issues with foot traffic this seems like a reasonable explanation.
The Warehouse district has potential with its proximity to several apartments, Flamingo Park, and downtown West Palm, but clearly it’s not quite “there” yet.
As of right now, it’s unclear whether a new tenant will be similar or whether the old warehouse will be once again repurposed. Whatever happens, you’ll be able to read about it here.
Northwood Coffee
As the Warehouse District faces its localized struggles, Northwood has become a new neighborhood to keep an eye on north of the city.
Several apartments are close to being done there, and in one of the already completed apartments you can find Northwood Coffee.

Northwood Coffee
This is a quiet little coffee shop a block from Currie Park, with a surprisingly great view of the inter-coastal despite being a good couple hundred yards away from it. The staff is always friendly and they have a special menu of summer drinks including a … blood orange latte?
I have not worked up the courage to try that yet, but as someone who lives in the general area I’ve become a fan of theirs over the last few months and thought it would be remiss to not speak about them here.
Either pop in for a coffee or bring your laptop and get some work in - maybe we’ll run into each other sometime !
Tri-Rail Funding Concerns
Due to cuts in state funding, the Tri-Rail is expected to run out of funding by the end of 2026.
While everyone knows about the Brightline, the flashier, newer, for-profit train connecting Orlando to Miami with several stops in between, the Tri-Rail is a much more local train running from Miami to just north of West Palm.
The Florida Department of Transportation is cutting $27 million of funding beginning this month, and the rail has the funds to continue operation for 2 more years as of today - but won’t have the ability to upgrade stations or spend money on any other “extras.”

The Tri-Rail
While heads of the railway are in discussions with FDOT to restore funding, no resolution has yet been reached.
The Tri-Rail began operations in 1989 during the construction of I-95 in the area and has been in operation ever since.
That’s it for this quick edition, but next week we’ll be back with a regular, full length edition.
Thank you as always for reading and if you learned something new, share with a friend!
